Amnicon is a town in Douglas County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,074 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Amnicon Falls, Middle River, Rockmont and Wentworth are located in the town. ==Name origin== The name ''Amnicon'' is of Ojibwe origin.
